Pink Floyd(핑크 플로이드) - Sheep

가장 underrate 하다는 Animals 앨범.

수록곡들을 보면 곡명이 sheep, dogs, pigs 등등 동물 이름으로 되어있다.

당대 사회를 조지오웰의 동물농장에서 착안해 작곡했다고 한다.

로저 워터스가 총대매고 만든 앨범.

핑크 플로이드 여러 노래를 듣게 되면서

로저 워터스가 점점 더 좋아지게 된다.

이 노래에서 Sheep은 온순한 양, 즉 순진한 국민들을 뜻한다.

큰 힘 없이 수동적으로 권력의 개들과 돼지들에게 이끌리는..

이미 나온지 40년이 넘었지만,

오늘 날에도 동일하게 해당되는 그들의 메세지는 소름끼칠 정도..

결국 개들이 죽으면서 희망차게 노래가 끝난다.

장장 10여분간의 노래, 긴장을 놓을 수 없는 기타, 키보드 연주와 로저 워터스의 목소리(?).

길모어가 이런 스타일을 싫어했다고 하는데, 난 좋다..
